Take control of a quad bike and set off into rough terrain. You'll scramble across open fields and woodland tracks, splash through water pools and tackle steep slopes. Oh, and you might get a bit wet, but that's part of the appeal, right? You'll begin with a thorough safety briefing, then get into your protective clothing and have an introduction to the quad bike. You'll warm up with some training on level ground around a marked circuit to master basic quad handling and gain some confidence. Then you'll head off on a quad safari, typically covering around 10 miles, at speeds of up to 50mph. Fear not, an experienced instructor will keep a watchful eye on anyone about to frog leap the handle bars. The time ends with a debrief and hose-down. The bikes are usually Honda 250ESs - a utility machine with five forward gears operated by electric thumb shift - or Sportrax 90s - smaller, sports-tuned quads.

After an introduction and briefing on circuit driving techniques, your personal instructor will take you out onto the circuit for some demo laps. At Everyman you'll drive for three laps in five supercars: the stunning DB9 is a modern thoroughbred sports car, the good looking Ferrari 550 has the kind of effortless-handling which revels in sweeping bends and high-speed straights, the Lamborghini Gallardo is a brutal and uncompromising powerhouse, whilst the new Jaguar XK and rear-engined Porsche 997 are the modern-day incarnations of cars born on the racetrack. A driving assessment and a certificate are also included. At Thruxton, you'll take the wheel for four laps in a Porsche Cayman and four laps in the awesome Aston Martin Vantage V8, then finish with four laps in the all-aluminium Ferrari F430 supercar, capable of 0-60mph in under four seconds and a top speed of nearly 200mph. Finally, swap to the passenger seat for the high-speed ride of your life.
There's fast, there's furious, and then there's Formula 1 - a whole other league of speed. You'll start off with a briefing and demo laps in a hot hatch or sports saloon. Then get behind the wheel and drive up to 17 laps of a single seater Formula Ford at Racing School venues, or five laps in a Porsche 911 or Ferrari at Mallory Park in Leicestershire. Then it's on to the main event - blow your mind with eight laps in a Tyrell at Mallory Park, or ten laps in a Forti-Corse or 1994 Arrows FA14 at other circuits. All these cars are ex-Formula 1: they might have retired from racing but they're guaranteed to give you an unforgettable driving experience. A few laps in these beauties will redefine your notion of speed, road holding and handling, and give you an adrenaline rush you can't imagine! At Mallory Park you'll also get to drive ten laps in an F3-style single-seater. Lunch, memorabilia and an F1 certificate are included, plus dinner and overnight accommodation for two.
