Glenmorangie Whisky Break for Two

Glenmorangie Whisky Break for Two

People disagree on how whisky should be drunk, and how it's spelt, but everyone agrees that Glenmorangie is one of the finest malt whiskies in the world and with this experience you'll learn more about its heritage and traditions - and get to drink it. On arrival at the five-star Glenmorangie Hotel you'll receive a warm Highland welcome, enjoying a wee dram in your room to help you get settled in, before being chauffeured to the Glenmorangie Distillery for your tour. The distillery has been making Glenmorangie the same way since 1843 and you'll learn about the craftsmanship of the legendary 'Sixteen Men of Tain' who work there. You will have a single tasting at the distillery before heading back to the hotel to sample further malt whiskies of various ages and flavours. Then join the big table where you'll relax over a set four or five course dinner. A full breakfast the following morning is also included. You'll take home some small Glenmorangie gifts and a bottle of original malt.

The Port Harvest in Portugal for TwoThe Port Harvest in Portugal for Two

Come and discover the complexities of port production in Portugal - and take part in the colourful fun of the harvest of this rich, fortified wine. There's nothing like immersing yourself in a good bottle of port, but take it one step further and really soak up the rich and sugary flavours when you join the workers of the informal association of small, rising star producers known as the 'Douro Boys' and tread the grapes. Both of the Quintas that you visit, the Dutch owned Niepoort and the Quinta do Passadouro, are renowned for their tawny and vintage ports. You'll also get to taste several excellent Douro table wines and travel on the train route made famous by Michael Palin, up through the breathtaking Douro vineyards. You'll stay in a three star hotel in the centre of Oporto near the river front, a great place to relax in the evening.
