Experience the unique thrill of a high speed tour of the Solent in a genuine offshore powerboat. Hold on tight as your experienced instructor takes the boat to the limit, completing our offshore circuit. Your experience will begin with a safety briefing then put on the offshore racing jacket and life jacket you'll be given before joining the waiting Honda powerboat. After a short cruise down Southampton water, the driver will open up the throttle and you will fly across the waves into the Solent. This unique experience includes a demonstration of wave jumping, high speed cornering, racing lines and starts. Get two laps behind the wheel yourself out on the circuit to put what you've learnt from the instructor to the test (at the instructor's discretion) and see how good you are. The boat operates within Southampton Water and, weather permitting, out onto the Solent.

Ever wondered what it feels like to be a millionaire? As you climb aboard this magnificent Sunseeker powerboat cruiser, you'll get a taster (albeit a small one) of what the high life is really like. Forty foot long with luxurious interiors, this powerful beauty is able to go at speeds that will impress even the most experienced sea farer. Make no mistake, this boat was designed for fun - so enjoy! Once on board you will receive a full safety briefing before heading out towards the Isle of Wight. If weather conditions permit on the day, you'll be able to take the helm yourself and learn all about the rules of the 'road'. To top your day off, the skipper will take this amazing vehicle to the limit of up to 36 knots so you can see for yourself how powerful and capable the boat is. If time allows, experience the popular 'man overboard' procedures (with a prop, not a guest!). Arrive back at Ocean Village Marina fully exhilarated and some very happy memories of the day.
Cars? Cars are for wimps! If you want to drive something really amazing it's got to be a powerboat, if possible one that goes at speeds up to 125mph and powers along at such a rate that it flies above the surface of the water - no chance of a car doing that. With our powerboat experience you'll go out in the Hypercat, one of the fastest production powerboats in the world. Built in California, the boat is amazingly graceful and incredibly manoeuvrable. You'll start off with a safety briefing and introduction to the boat - with its hull the same as a Class 1 Powerboat, she rides on a cushion of air providing a fast, yet comfortable ride. Your crew will usually be veteran powerboat racing champions who know how to get the best out of the Hypercat. You'll learn how to control the boat at speeds up to 60mph+, then as you head out into open water there's an opportunity to have a go at driving - should blow a few cobwebs away!
Get ready for some thrilling white water action - with this experience you'll be shooting the churning rapids and jumping the falls in... well, in a duckie. It sounds a bit wet (in more ways than one), but duckies are great fun - they're small inflatable open rafts, holding just three people, so you're closer to the action than in regular white water rafts. Your two-hour session will begin with a safety briefing and instruction on handling the duckie, then you'll head out onto the river. There'll be three people in each duckie, including the instructor, as you head off down the river and hit the rapids. The white water grading system goes from one (gentle) to six (too rough to offer commercially) - this centre is graded between one and three, meaning that it's great fun for beginners but still offers some real thrills and challenges. We're confident that you'll take to this like a duckie to water...
For a truly stunning day at sea you can do no better than a day's sailing on board a beautiful tall ship. These magnificent and luxurious vessels, J R Tolkien (two-mast topsail schooner), Loth Lorien (three-mast schooner) and Artemis (three-mast barque), have masts over 30 metres high and are perfect for a day of traditional sailing. You'll begin with refreshments and a safety briefing from your experienced crew, before sailing out onto the Solent area. If you want to enjoy some hands-on activity, then there's always a job to do on board, from raising the sails to helming the ship, and the friendly crew will show you how it's done. If you'd rather, you can relax on deck and chat to the crew about the sailing life. A buffet lunch and afternoon tea will be served on board during the day.
