As if bungee jumping wasn't frightening enough, now there is The Abyss - the only commercial indoor bungee jump in the world, housed in a former steelworks. You're in semi-darkness with music pumping out of a wall of speakers, dry ice filling the air and seven huge projection screens showing your fellow jumpers in action. That's right - bungee jumping has gone rock'n'roll. Your experience begins when you climb 143 steps up the Face of Steel to the 150 foot jump zone. You'll be helped into the bungee harness (with thorough safety checks) and you're ready to go. After a few words of encouragement, and a few very deep breaths, it's 1... 2... 3... bungee! You'll plummet towards the ground before the bungee rope reaches its return point and you ping back towards the rafters. After a few more bounces, you'll be lowered back to terra firma. All equipment and club membership are included, and you can buy a video of your jump on the day.

Imagine crashing through the undergrowth, dodging exploding paintballs, hiding in bunkers, or spying on your enemies from on high. On arrival, you will be kitted out with freshly laundered combat coveralls, full face protection paintball goggles and a top of the range semi-automatic paintball gun with an impressive 500 paintballs each. You will be given a full safety briefing by an experienced marshal before commencing play. This is a real chance to shake off your day-to-day responsibilities and rekindle your spirit of adventure. There are between four and six games included, played out within differently themed areas and zones, set up to test your skills of strategy, leadership, navigation and teamwork.

Then head to the Highlands for a day's climbing with the whole family on one of the world's classic mountaineering routes. With the services of a private guide, you'll tackle a route up either Ben Nevis or Glencoe. It will be challenging, exhausting and occasionally nerve-racking - but also uplifting, inspiring and breathtakingly beautiful. You'll be supplied with all technical equipment, and your guide will place all ropes and protection, leaving you to get on with enjoying your spectacular surroundings in complete safety. The day will combine walking, hiking and climbing as you go high into the mountain, and ends with a thorough debrief at the National Ice Climbing Centre. You'll receive a CD with photos of your day and a mug of hot chocolate each, before rewarding your aching limbs with a sauna and steam.
Experience the glamorous world of international espionage by indulging the fantasy with this great day playing at secret agents. After a full briefing you and the other spies learn some of the skills employed by secret agents all over the world. Heading to the firing ranges, you'll learn how to shoot automatic pistols and sniper rifles. Then move onto axe throwing (for goodness' sake don't try this at home), unarmed combat and covert surveillance, using cameras and bugs. Then try evasive driving - including J turns, handbrake turns and anti-ambush drills. Finish off at the 'drive in' pistol range, firing at targets from a moving vehicle, before screeching to a halt, jumping out of the car for more shooting and then speeding off again. Throughout the day you'll be supervised by instructors who have first-hand experience of carrying out surveillance operations.
