So you're not old enough to drive yet? Well you are with this specially designed experience for 10 to 17 year olds who can't wait to get behind the wheel. Whether or not you've driven a car before, this is your chance to get the hang of driving in a purpose-built open-topped Ford Rally Sport Trainer - designed with safety in mind to give you the perfect balance of power and control. You'll start with a full briefing about the car, when you'll be taught about clutch control, steering and braking techniques before hitting the track. Then you can take the RST on a test stage with an expert instructor calling the corners as you power your way around, perfecting those sideway slides as seen on TV! You will be marked on your overall car control and the person with the highest scores will be entered on the website 'Hall of Fame'. Finish with three high-speed laps driven by an instructor and see just what the car is capable of. You don't need any driving experience - but you do need to be a speed freak!
This is great way to try out acting and learn all about the theatre at one of the most successful shows in the world. First of all, before the day, you'll be sent a synopsis of the show on CD (read by Sir Ian McKellan) so that you're familiar with the story. The big day starts off with a fantastic three-hour kids' workshop. This includes a backstage tour of the theatre and a drama workshop based on improvisational games that will bring out your inner star. The workshop ends which a re-enactment of a scene from the show, using real costumes and props, plus a chance to quiz a real member of the Les Mis cast and a certificate to take home. A packed lunch with a sandwich, crisps, apple and juice is included (sorry but special dietary needs can't be catered for, so bring your own lunch if you prefer). Then in the afternoon, you'll watch a matinee performance of the hit musical.
Transport yourself back to the days of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with this wild west adventure for the cowboy or cowgirl in you. Your experience begins with a welcome and introduction to the Western Paint horses, Boston, Gypsy and friends. You'll meet your own trusty steed, saddle up and head off for a one hour riding lesson in the Western Riding Arena - western style. It's easier to learn and feels more secure than riding English-style, so it's great even for beginners. Next you'll be shown how to try your luck at lassoing the cow-horns, then finally it's time for a well-earned feast of ranch burger and beans. You'll also get certificates to take home to show everyone that you're official Junior Cowboys.
Enter football training heaven at a Goals Soccer Centre, home of some of the premier five-a-side football venues in the country. You and up to nine of your football mad friends spend the first hour of your experience developing your passing, dribbling, defending and shooting skills, under the guidance of an FA or SFA qualified coach. Then break for a bite to eat during which you and your fellow team mates have the opportunity to ask the coach any questions and pick up tips on how to improve your game. As the second half gets under way, go for it and apply those newly developed skills in a 30 min five-a-side match, under the watchful eye of your coach who will continue to provide input into your technique. After the match there will be a presentation where every single player receives an attendance certificate, a medal and a football to take away. In addition the coach will present certificates for the Goal of the Game, Man of the Match and the Fair Play award. May the best team win!
