Try out one of the fastest growing water sports and get to grips with paddling a kayak in a group environment. During the session, you can expect to learn the basics of paddle and boat control as well as general river safety, with instruction taking place in a safe boating area two to three feet deep. Once the basics are mastered, head out into calm sections of the river under the supervision of qualified instructors. Take a trip through the beautiful Jephson Gardens and local nature reserve to explore and participate in games and challenges to put your new skills to the test. Kayaks were originally developed by indigenous people of Arctic regions, who used the boats to hunt on inland lakes, rivers and coastal waters. The first kayaks consisted of stitched animal skins such as seal stretched over a wooden frame. Don't worry, today they are a little more high tech, made from rotomoulded plastic, wood, fabric over wooden or aluminum frame, fiberglass, Kevlar or carbon fibre.

So you're not old enough to drive yet, let alone attempt drifting? You are with this brilliant experience, specially designed for youngsters who just can't wait to get behind the wheel. Originating in Japan, drifting involves manipulating your vehicle to go sideways for as long as possible - with style of course. You'll start with a full safety briefing before stepping into a purpose-built Ford Rally Sport Trainer with an experienced instructor where you will learn clutch control, steering and braking techniques. Once you are comfortable with basic driving controls, you'll be taught the skills of drifting, such as a powerslide, Scandinavian flick, Choku Dori, Feint Drift and handbrake turns. Enjoy developing these newfound skills to increase precision and finesse and before you know it, you'll be perfecting the kind of sideway slides seen in the movies! Receive marks on your overall car control and finish with a debrief and certificate presentation. Release your inner speed freak!
This is great way to try out acting and learn all about the theatre at one of the most successful shows in the world. First of all, before the day, you'll be sent a synopsis of the show on CD (read by Sir Ian McKellan) so that you're familiar with the story. The big day starts off with a fantastic three-hour kids' workshop - no adults allowed! This includes a backstage tour of the theatre and a drama workshop based on improvisational games that will bring out your inner star. The workshop ends which a re-enactment of a scene from the show, using real costumes and props, plus a chance to quiz a real member of the Les Mis cast and a certificate to take home. A packed lunch with a sandwich, crisps, apple and juice is included (sorry but special dietary needs can't be catered for, so bring your own lunch if you prefer). Meanwhile mum or dad can enjoy some free time in London, returning to the theatre in time for both of you to watch a matinee performance of the hit musical.
