A llama trek? In England?? Yes, that's right, llama trekking is no longer the preserve of herdsmen in the Peruvian Andes. Llamas are perfect companions for an English country walk - affectionate, intelligent and happy to carry all your stuff! There's also something relaxing about their gentle presence, which makes a countryside trek even more pleasurable. You'll receive a warm and informative welcome in the reception room, before taking the reins of your llama and heading out on a two-hour trek. Your fluffy new friend will happily carry your rucksack and camera as you walk through beautiful English countryside, a mixture of woodland and open fairway. Each trek is guided and there will usually be one llama companion per trekker (although when busy a llama may be shared by two people). There'll be plenty of great photo opportunities and afterwards you can meet the rest of the herd of 50-odd llamas. You are also welcome to picnic at the farm.

An eagle in flight is incredibly beautiful - but since eagles' natural habitats tend to be very remote, it's also very rare. With this experience you'll have the chance to get up close and personal with this deadly predator, and see their majesty and power first hand. Your experience begins with a guided tour of the bird of prey centre, where you'll see the various eagles in residence and get the chance to learn all about them. Then you'll receive expert one-to-one instruction on how to handle a bird, and find out about how they are trained. After lunch, stride out into beautiful British countryside with your instructor, where you'll fly an eagle to the glove (in Yorkshire get the chance to fly more than one type of eagle). It's an amazing opportunity to see these dramatic birds up close and watch their spellbinding flight - and there can't be many thrills to match the experience of an eagle coming in to land on your glove.
Get up close and personal with some of nature's magnificent and regal birds of prey. You'll learn all about the art of falconry and have a chance to try it for yourselves. Your experience starts with a tour of the bird of prey centre, where you'll get up close and personal with different species and learn what makes a hawk a hawk, a falcon a falcon and an owl an owl. Then you'll get expert tuition in the art of falconry and have time to handle the birds so that you get comfortable with them and they get comfortable with you. Next it's time to try out falconry for real - you'll fly some birds to the fist, watching them show off their skills and getting some thrills medieval-style when a top predator comes into land on your glove.
Lots of people assume that the most exciting thing you're likely to see in the coastal waters round Britain is a mackerel. In fact there is a staggering variety of marine and bird life living happily round our shores - and with this experience you'll get the chance to see it for yourselves. You'll be welcomed at the marina, before going aboard your boat and heading out. You might see bottlenose, common or striped dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks, minke whales, fin whales, humpback whales (yes, whales and sharks around Britain!), atlantic grey seals and visiting seasonal sea birds including skuas, sabine's gulls and the fabulously-named sooty shearwaters. Of course these are all wild animals so we can't guarantee which ones may make an appearance on the day, but we can guarantee a fascinating and eye-opening experience.
What image does the phrase 'camel riding' conjure up? Deserts, shimmering heat, pyramids in the background? Think again. Camel riding has come to England - it's fun, relaxing, and you get a cracking view from up there. You'll start off with some refreshments and a welcome brief before you go and meet the camels. After saying hello and having a chance to get used to them, you'll be shown how to put a bridle and a saddle on your camels. Then you and your trusty steeds will head out on a peaceful ride through lovely countryside, accompanied by instructors. Camels are friendly and inquisitive, and each has its own quirky personality, so we're sure that you'll make new pals. Your camels will be led at all times by an instructor and you'll also learn a bit about their history and habits (the camels' that is, not your instructor's). At the end of your trek you can reward your camel with a groom and a feed and then enjoy a glass of champagne with some strawberries before you say goodbye.
