Introduction to Polo For Two
Polo: a game that involves hitting a small ball with a long stick whilst travelling at speed on board a vehicle with a mind of its own. Sound insane? It's time to find out for yourself, even if you're not a royal or a snake-hipped Argentinian. And even if you don't know how to ride. You'll start off being briefed on the basic rules and theory of polo by expert instructors. Then you'll have lots of time to practice ball hitting, polo riding, hooking and riding off (don't worry, all the terminology will be explained). The polo ponies are well-schooled and there will be an instructor by your side. After your training you'll change into proper polo gear and mount your horse, and then it's time to put what you've learnt into practice as you both play an instructional chukka. After, you can stay and watch matches being played for the rest of the day. Fast-paced, skilful and with the fantastic sound effect of thundering hooves, polo is a great sport to play and to watch.

The only better way to unwind than enjoying a break at a luxury hotel is enjoying a break at a luxury hotel with a round of golf thrown in. And that's what you'll get with this relaxing break for two. Your experience includes one night accommodation in a double or twin room at one of a selection of Marriott country club hotels, all of which are renowned for their warm welcome, luxurious atmosphere and idyllic location. Also included are breakfast, dinner, and - of course - a round of golf. All of the country clubs have a championship golf course, and some have played host to top golfing events. Bring your own clubs if you have them or prehire them from the hotel (this costs £15 to £35, depending on venue). Don't worry if one of you doesn't play golf: the golfer can play two rounds, and the non-golfer can do some serious relaxing back at the four star hotel.
