Cars? Cars are for wimps! If you want to drive something really amazing it's got to be a powerboat, if possible one that goes at speeds up to 125mph and powers along at such a rate that it flies above the surface of the water - no chance of a car doing that. With our powerboat experience you'll go out in the Suzuki Hypercat, one of the fastest production powerboats in the world. Built in California, the boat is amazingly graceful and incredibly manoeuvrable. You'll start off with a safety briefing and introduction to the boat - with its hull the same as a class 1 powerboat, she rides on a cushion of air providing a fast, yet comfortable ride. Your crew will usually be veteran powerboat racing champions who know how to get the best out of the Suzuki Hypercat. You'll learn how to control the boat at speeds up to 60mph, then as you head out into open water there's an opportunity to have a go at driving - that should blow a few cobwebs away.

Rediscover your sense of adventure (and what it's like to be soaked to the skin!) with this white water rafting experience in an inflatable six person raft. You'll start by being kitted out with all the equipment (note: this is not an experience for the style-conscious!), before a full safety briefing and instruction in rafting techniques. Then an experienced guide will take you onto the water for a series of runs down the breathtaking twists, turns and drops of this 300 metre man-made course. You're in for a wild and wet ride as you and the rest of your crew steer the raft through a series of turbulent rapids. The course is fed by electric pumps, so water levels are consistently high throughout the year, and it's floodlit for evening sessions. As a guide, this course is graded 2-3 on the UK's white water grading system, which starts at one (relaxed) and goes up to six (too rough to offer commercially).
Get ready for some thrilling white water action - with this experience you'll be shooting the churning rapids and jumping the falls in... well, in a duckie. It sounds a bit wet (in more ways than one), but duckies are great fun - they're small inflatable open rafts, holding just three people, so you're closer to the action than in regular white water rafts. Your two-hour session will begin with a safety briefing and instruction on handling the duckie, then you'll head out onto the river. There'll be three people in each duckie, including the instructor, as you head off down the river and hit the rapids. The white water grading system goes from one (gentle) to six (too rough to offer commercially) - this centre is graded between one and three, meaning that it's great fun for beginners but still offers some real thrills and challenges. We're confident that you'll take to this like a duckie to water...
Get your competitive spirit going with close yacht racing - combining the freedom of the open water with the thrill of racing and the satisfaction of hands-on involvement. You'll be on board a modern Sigma 8 metre keelboat, a performance boat. First you'll meet your instructor and the crew, before heading to the yachts for a safety briefing. Training includes hoisting sails, helming, practising the most efficient methods of manoeuvring the yacht and learning how to keelhaul landlubbers (or maybe not). Then you'll be briefed on the rules of the race, which takes place on a floating 'race track'. And it's all hands on deck - you'll participate fully in crewing the yacht during the race, putting into action everything that you've learned and pitting you against the competition and the elements. Afterwards you'll retire to the clubhouse for results, and you're welcome to go for a well earned drink with the instructor and crew in one of the local bars afterwards.
